Increasing Black representation in the Virginia legislature
The Central Commonwealth Black Caucus (CCBC) is a non-profit organization committed to addressing and reducing disparities within Black communities across central Virginia. Through strategic initiatives and community-driven programs, CCBC focuses on empowering individuals and families by fostering educational opportunities, advancing entrepreneurship, promoting economic empowerment, advocating for civil equity, and ensuring robust legislative representation.
Our vision is to create a vibrant and sustainable future where Black communities across central Virginia are empowered to thrive. We envision a region where educational equity, entrepreneurial growth, economic independence, civil justice, and legislative representation are accessible to all, enabling individuals to lead lives of dignity, opportunity, and fulfillment. Through collaboration, advocacy, and systemic change, CCBC seeks to transform the landscape of Black communities, fostering a society where every individual has the resources, support, and platform to reach their fullest potential.
Our mission is to build a more just, equitable, and thriving society for Black residents in the region by partnering with local communities, stakeholders, and leaders to effect positive and lasting change. We believe in the power of collaboration and invite volunteers, donors, and partners to join us in realizing our vision of a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.
